A Knitty Weekend

I have had a very knitty weekend. First of all, I finished knitting and assembling a little dress that I have been working on for a while. It turned out very nice, I love it actually. It has a green ribbon now but I made it so that I could change the ribbon whenever. Anya likes it as well.

Yesterday, Anya and I went to the Welsh Wool Festival. It was about 1 1/2 hours away but well worth the time spent to get there. We wondered around looking at various farmers, spinners and dye companies. Anya love looking at the the sheep and the Alpaca's and I enjoyed buying way too much yarn.

And this is just a random picture of my cute baby.

Paris/London

So, I thought I would finally post a few pictures of our trip to Paris and London. My parents and I took the train from Aber to Paris where we spent a couple of days checking stuff out. I have been there a number of times in the last couple of years by my dad had never been and it has been a long time since my mom was there so I took role of tour guide. We had a really great time seeing the sights. Anya had a fantastic time visiting with random people. Every time we rode the metro she would find someone to flirt with. She would peak around poles at people and make everyone around her smile. Random people were taking pictures of her and she was passed around a group of girls at the Louvre like she was a dolly.

I London Adam met up with us for a couple of days of sightseeing. We had fantastic food, all the good stuff that we can not get here in Aber. Anya loved, loved , loved Pad Thai and the Thai curries that we had there. She loves Indian curry but we have that here in Aber so that is old but she really love the Thai food we had. Besides food we had a great time wondering around. We went on a great walking tour and we went to see Stomp. Anya loved Stomp, all the noise and pounding was fun for her to watch, and when she got bored and started talking the performers started to include her in the performance so none of the audience got upset.

Climbing

We returned from Paris and London on monday and I have not yet found time to post pictures, sorry. After a week of having Anya strapped to my back she has become needy. She wants to be with me all the time, if I go into the kitchen she follows and holds my legs, she follows me around the apartment everywhere I go. The only place she will play on her own is in our living room but only if I stay with her so lots of knitting has been getting done as I sit by her playing. So, sorry for not posting Paris and London pictures yet, we had a great time with lots of great food but you will have to wait. I am sharing this video of her climbing up to the tv. We try to keep her away from it since we only have a crapy tv stand here. She loves to get the DVD player and pull out cords and stuff but lately she has been taking the stuff off the top of the tv as shown here. Besides climbing on the suitcase, she also climbs on her bouncy chair that is blocking the entrance to behind the stand. She will clime on and then stand up in the chair to get to the playstation remote on top. Crazy kid!

9 Months old/ Grandparentals visit.

The child has now been out as long as she was in. It is so crazy how quickly this has occurred, time flies by so fast. We love her so much and are so grateful we get to enjoy her and share her fun spirit with others. We are having lots of fun this week since my parental unit is here visiting. We have explored Aber as well as outlying areas with great success and the baby has loved every minute of it. She fully believes that the grandfather is here strictly as her personal jungle gym and grandma is available for silly songs and stories. We are off tomorrow for a quick trip to Paris and London so I felt I should share some pictures before we go.

Swinging is fun, especially with Grandma and Grandpa

Eatin some toast

We all rode a train to the top of Constitution Hill, a large hill one one side of Aber. The view was fantastic, even if the wind was blowing hard.

It snowed in Aber! I know that it does not look like much but it is crazy for here. The little kids in the branch were so excited, throwing pathetic snowballs around and playing. Sad that this is only the second time they has seen snow.
