1 Week

Well friends, we have been in Aberystwyth for 1 week and much has been accomplished. We arrived here 11 days before Adam's school starts mainly because Adam had a bunch of meetings at the university, but we also wanted to get ourselves organized. We have spent the week acquiring money from the school, opening bank accounts, getting cell phones, internet and our appartment. These items may sound easy, but in a foreign country it proves more difficult than imagined. When we moved to Canada I benefitted from Adams first hand knoweledge of the ways of Canada, however with this move neither one of us has that knoweledge. We have been successfull. We even have our apartment half way organized if you can believe it. Here are a couple of pictures of Anya from the week.

These photos were taken after we had story time one morning. Anya loves us to read her stories, she becomes completly enthralled with the pictures.

We have devised a new sleeping position for miss Anya. She tends to not fall asleep because she wiggles too much, and then when she does fall asleep she wakes herself up from wiggling. Soooo, we wrap her tight in a blanket and then she can't move. It works perfect.

Anya is also desperately trying to sit herself up. When we set her in the corner of the sectional like this picture, I set her slightly slumped over and she tries so hard to pull up.

Aberystwyth

We have arrived! It has taken a few days of intense traveling but finally we have an apartment and are not homeless any longer. Our travels began on Wednesday as we began waiting in for our flight in Detroit. We left Windsor quite early, knowing that we would have to wait at the US border as the assesseded our ability to enter the country. After about an hour wait for the border guard we made our way to the Detroit airport. We then somehow got our eminence amount of baggage to the checkin counter and made our way through security and to our gate.

Once we arrived in Manchester we had to wait for a taxi cab to take us to our hotel. I actually did not know if we would be able to fit all of our stuff into one cab, but somehow we made it.

We bought a baby computer program for Anya and she really enjoyed sitting on the bed in our hotel in Manchester and playing the game with her feet.

Aberystwyth is a cost town with a really pretty beach- Both yesterday and today we spent the walking around the town checking stuff out. Miss Anya enjoyed her time in her stroller, all fuzzy and warm.

Our apartment is up on one of the hills, with a really great view of the town and the ocean.

So far we are really enjoying it here and we are totally excited for the coming year. Stay tuned for many more pictures of Aberystwyth and other European locations.

Numbers

Goodmorning Baby!

So, my baby really likes numbers. She was born on July 7, 2007. On September 11 we went in for her two month check up and she weighed 11 lbs 11oz. Crazy huh? By the way she also was measured 23 1/2 inches- so she is still a little above average, but healthy, healthy. Anyway, I thought you might like some new pictures of our little monkey. The green pj pictures were taken this morning right after she woke up. She is always really happy in the morning, and super smilley.

These ones were taken last weekend. Adam's aunt Karen knitted this super cute dress.

Blessing day!

As many of you know, we are now back in Canada. We had Anya’s blessing here in Ottawa at our old ward. Most of Adam’s family was able to attend which was great. On Saturday we went down town and walked around looking at the sights. We were able to get some great shots of Anya

Getting ready for church

On Sunday, after church we all went to the experimental farm to take some family pictures.

And some cute flower pictures

And visiting with her cousins Katie and Michael
